1161 Route 130, P.O. Important Note: Please be sure to record contact information for your local USA Hockey Supervisor of Officials and Local Assignor while at your seminar. In addition to standard In-Person Classroom Seminars, there may be Virtual Classroom Seminars scheduled in those areas where hosting an in-person seminar is impossible or impractical. An official is not required to attend a seminar in their own USAH District or state. All officials who are 18 years-old (or older) by June 1 of the current year, must submit to a USA Hockey sanctioned criminal background screen. We must preface our outline of the registration process by mentioning that while USA Hockey has no age requirements to become an official, a few U.S. states have been experiencing conflicts with child labor laws. Zoom is the online platform for all USA Hockey Virtual Classroom Seminars, and attendees will not need a Zoom Account to attend.
However it is strongly recommended that new Level 1 Officials attend a local seminar to learn about Officiating Associations, game assignments, mentor programs and other important information relative to their local area.
