Little Howlers Hockey is an on-ice youth hockey program hosted in cooperation with the Arizona Coyotes Hockey Development Program, Arizona Amateur Hockey Association, One Goal and local hockey rinks. On-ice instruction plans for Little Howlers 2.0 are a collaborative effort from USA Hockey and Hockey Canada experts. The Arizona Coyotes have partnered up with 6 local rinks to offer the first ever Little Howlers 2.0 program for kids ages 5-8 ! Lucy on the ice with her Small Frys Class. EVERYBODY PLAYS IN OUR LITTLE HOWLERS HOCKEY PROGRAM. Specialty Coyote Alumni coaches will be involved in the program as well.
As children learn the skills needed to succeed on the ice, they also build and solidify important character traits needed to succeed off the ice.
All kids participating in the full program will be able to skate for free during any public session during the duration for the program. The perk of Little Howlers 2.0 is each participant will get to keep the gear upon completion of the course. The ice time is donated by each local hockey rink, so the only cost associated with the program is a small monetary deposit (which is returned at the conclusion of the four weeks if all equipment is returned). Learn to Play changes the way youth hockey is offered by providing first time participants, between four to eight years of age, free head-to-toe equipment, age appropriate instruction and certified coaching, led by NHL Alumni, in a fun and safe atmosphere. Each child receives a FREE set of One Goal rental equipment to be used during the four-week clinic including a FREE pair of rental skates provided by the rink.
