The next major breakthrough with galactic maps came with the release of The Essential Atlas in August of 2009. In 1,000 BBY a crisis led to a large scale conflict engulfing all the human Naboo city states, though there was no evidence of Gungan participation. Similar maps would continue to appear after, as the tone set with Vector Prime and Fact Files became the standard.

Still provincial and little-populated, the Naboo remained wary of off-world influences. Wives had an extreme sense of loyalty for their husbands and those found to be guilty of adultery were known to be executed. Naboo is one of the most living planets in the whole series, especially compared to Tatooine. Kaadara developed as a coastal town for the few Nabooan fisherman (not to be confused with nabooian). West End Games provided several such detailed maps of specific regions or sectors within the galaxy, for use in role-playing adventures and campaigns. Naboo was a planet.

Following the rise of the Empire, Queen Apailana became outspoken against the new regime. The Outer Rim was fleshed out more in issue #56, and the penultimate issue #139 included a map of the Clone Wars (as seen in the 2D cartoon, comics, and novels at that time). Many Naboo would serve in the Imperial Services and Captain Panaka would become an aide to the Emperor, and later it would become imperial Naboo. During the Clone Wars, the Confederacy of Independent Systems (including the Trade Federation) launched an unsuccessful campaign of invasion and conquest against Naboo. The only difference between the A-Wing and the N-1 is the fact that the A-Wing slides and is therefore harder to hit. Veruna expanded the role of the Space Fighter Corps and had the N-1 starfighter squadron organized. This move was unpopular on Naboo and with Senator Palpatine as these precautions were perceived as provocative overture. Future publications in this series of books would continue to use the circular galaxy, including Complete Locations. In 3951 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin), human refugees began fleeing violent revolution on their core world planet of Grizmallt. The Atlas uses a coordinate system based on a grid that has a justifiable in-universe meaning. With the release of The Old Republic in December 2011, there were already so many published maps that it would not be justifiable anymore to include such an inaccurate map (18). Soon rescued by Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, Queen Amidala left Naboo to personally seek aid in the Galactic Senate. The missions in TIE Fighter, released in June 1994, are preceded by a galactic map that displays the location of the mission (14). It is not known if the aquatic Gungans are the "original" inhabitants of Naboo, but they may have evolved in the interior underground seas or the swamplands. It even included a placement for Naboo, which would feature in the then-upcoming new movie, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Some scientists contend that earlier colonists settled Rori before the Narmele colony, but if this is true, no trace of them has been found. Most of prejudices of both species disappeared when Queen Amidala and Boss Nass managed to unite both species during the Battle of Naboo. This unique ship was introduced during Chapter 8, however, it cannot be recolored. Captain Panaka was able to organize the Space Fighter Corps to their fighters, and launch a last effort against the Federation capital ship.

The Naboo protested and wished to be free of the contract. The Grizmallt leader, Queen Elsinore den Tasia, sponsored a fleet of three ships (Beneficent Tasia, Mother Vima and Constant) to colonize new worlds, commanded by the explorer Kwilaan.

While sourcebooks have been the main source for galaxy maps for most people, some video games include maps as well, some even pre-dating the above-mentioned charts. The palace battle computer delivers coded battle coordinates and strategic plans into the fighter's computer and automatic pilot. Probably the easiest setup for the N-1 is a Mark IV collection engine and a decent re-engineered level 8 Borstel.

The Naboo system comprises five planets, namely Moth (Venus type), Erep (Venus type), Naboo (Earth type), Widow (Mars type) and Storm (Jupiter type). Underneath the planet's surface is a tremendous maze of passages and caves, home to immense aquatic animals and creatures that are never seen on the surface. The forecourt to the palace features statues of Naboo philosophers.

Naboo fell quickly; though they had a powerful Armed Corps, the Royal Advisory Council held off action until all negotiations failed.
