OpenDOAR staff harvest and assign metadata to allow categorisation and analysis to assist the wider use and exploitation of repositories. The team will review the request by visiting the repository and assess it against the OpenDOAR inclusion criteria.

Having a clear understanding of how repository content should be treated promotes effective usage enabling repository staff, authors, data harvesters, and the wider academic community to get the most out of repositories. Errata and corrigenda lists may be included with the original record if required. Changes to deposited items are not permitted. All items are individually tagged with their peer-review status and publication status.

Any copyright violations are entirely the responsibility of the authors/depositors. If the repository meets the requirements, it will be added to the directory and we’ll notify you once that’s done. Full items must not be sold commercially in any format or medium without formal permission of the copyright holders.
