So far, my experience is great.
I have found that the university is very career focused and the tutors genuinely want you to do well. I enjoy the uni but the course is cumbersome and feels more like a procedural requirement than an intellectual challenging. They have in built lectures to help build skills for employment, probono opportunities that are presented at the beginning of each year and availability to get advice on CVs, job applications, interviews etc. They also have an internal employment part where students can easily apply for jobs. The university is proactive by email and informing students of new opportunity’s available. Shops for stationary and folders are nearby. The facilities are not mind-blowing, they are acceptable. I would ask however that more consideration be given to the part-time weekend students as they are the ones who have to move work around and take annual leave for exams etc. There is a problem with between giving financial help to those who actually need it and just giving it those who score well on an assessment. It is not far from the station and there are plenty of cafes, supermarket stores to grab food and places to eat nearby. Coronavirus (Covid-19): advice and updates. I didn't use accommodation but the distance was not an issue. My experience has been the best I think it could have! However, the toilets need a refurbish. There is a lot of help for severe issues such as domestic violence in relationships but I don't see many advertisements for help for exam anxiety etc. This gives the teacher a lot of time with us all and there is plenty of time to answer all questions.
