What a hidden gem. At blinking light, road name changes to White Oak Ridge Road. Time brought decay. Wedding inspiration photographs from Greenwood Gardens in Short Hills, New Jersey. The rose garden was replaced by a cottage-style garden of perennials, annuals and shrubs arranged in beds. They have the option to take professional photos here but it's only during special times during the year and only a small number of ppl are allowed. The gardens are all designed with such symmetry and formality that seeing moss on the statuary and a slightly rambly allee makes it all feel more modern and fun.

This lovely garden is in the process of being restored, a process that will no doubt take years and after our first visit, it will be interesting to see how it evolves. By all means, go. I would consider the space as medium-sized for a garden. The paths bend and twist.

A lot of people don't know about this place, and I had the entire gardens to myself when I went.

What a surprise an absolute oasis in north Jersey. Greenwood Gardens, in Short Hills, New Jersey is an elegant garden in the eclectic Beaux-Arts style of the early 20th century. We spent all day exploring, designing, and photographing (and laughing at our models’ running banter, which was like a live romantic comedy).

This space is really beautiful. The green foliage of a garden venue will contrast beautifully with a subtle blush color palette. As you pass the teahouse, the chess theme breaks down, and two Chinese dragons guard the road. Greenwood Gardens is a garden rooted in the Arts & Crafts and Classical approaches to garden design, with Italianate garden terraces, grottoes, meandering moss-covered paths, allées of sycamore and spruces, ornamental trees and shrubs, and wildflower meadows, among other features, occupying over 28 acres. They have a few beautiful fountains and a great hydrangea bush section and beautiful magnolia trees on the side of the house/office entrance. for the education and inspiration of the public.
