I’m excited to read and review this one. I owned all of their recordings on vinyl at one point or another. . Exploding from the roots and folk scene of the early 1960s, the Dead went on to provide the soundtrack to the Dionysiac revels of the burgeoning counterculture.

This trip makes for a great read, and it is a must read for anyone who has ever been a fan of the Grateful Dead. The book is essentially a shallow chronology with little real substance that would keep a mild-to-medium Dead appreciator such as myself engaged.
