Edinburgh Trams serve one route with stops through the West of Edinburgh from the Airport to York Place at the East End. Obviously all the normal precautions apply. Long sandy beaches and nice Victorian/Edwardian architecture. A former port area, has been through run down times and bad reputations but now very much up and coming with some great places to eat and drink (but also some slightly less desirable areas although easily avoided as a tourist).
